Women in the Climate Space
Often climate solutions are based on technology like renewables, electric vehicles and carbon removal, with gender and social solutions seen as a softer aspect. But research has found that women are more vulnerable to (and disproportionately impacted by) climate change — which is why it’s so important for them to be included in decision-making spaces. Women-led communities around the world are bringing their might and perspective to come up with their own solutions on the ground to deal with the climate crisis, addressing everything from air pollution to food security to plastic waste in oceans. These communities are also uniquely positioned as collaborators in the design context-specific climate resilience innovations with women at the center (like this one.)
Growing the Buy Social Movement in Europe

If you’re interested in joining Buy Social Europe’s online training program, and/or the peer-to-peer mentoring program please fill in this form.
Making the Future of Work Green
India needs to create jobs, and they have to be green. As the government works on job creation, an important focus will be to create new jobs that are climate- and sustainability-focused, and upskill the existing workforce to keep up with the country’s ambitious green transition goals. With almost 80-85 percent of the workforce engaged in the informal sector, it has to approach green jobs differently than in the West. At the heart of such jobs in the informal sector is Just Transition, which means building climate-conscious careers and economic growth in a manner that no one is left behind. Learn more about how India is working to strike that balance here.

“The environment, after all, is where we all meet, where we all have a mutual interest. It is one thing that all of us share. It is not only a mirror of ourselves, but a focusing lens on what we can become.”
